Leanne Gauthier began dancing at the age of 7 and at age 10, she began her Cecchetti ballet training under the instruction of Betty Mitchell. Throughout the years, Leanne has received additional instruction from notable Ballet Masters and Ballet Mistresses such as Lauren Anderson, Clara Cravey, and Caleb Mitchell. She has performed in such ballet classics as “The Nutcracker”, “Giselle”, “Firebird”, excerpts from “Raymonda” and “Swan Lake”.
Leanne received most of her training at The Link School of the Arts. She also was trained at Rose Marie Floyd’s School of Dance and BalletMet Columbus’ Pre-Professional Program. Aside from ballet, Leanne has taken tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical and modern classes.
Since teaching her first class in 2004, she has enjoyed choreographing dances and teaching them to students of various ages and levels of ability. In early 2014, Leanne started a small Christian dance ministry called E.M.O.T.E. for kids who want to use dance and creative movement for worship. She is currently involved with an adult dance ministry called Grace Dance Ensemble.
